Sanitary measures for summer 2020

Updated 24/07/2020

This summer, more than ever we’ll want to experience the joys of freedom and nature, but we will want to feel safe while we do so. The mountains offer an incredible natural playground, with plenty of space for everyone to feel at ease as they enjoy the fresh air. We’re taking safety seriously and are busy working on what can be put into place to ensure you can relax and enjoy time in Morzine. Strict hygiene measures will be in place, activities will be specially adapted, but the same fresh open spaces will be available to enjoy in safety.
Tourist Office Opening hours
The Morzine-Avoriaz Tourist Office is now open everyday 9am-12:30pm and 2-6:30pm. Access will be controled with distancing measures, one way circulation and marking on the floor. Sanitiser gel is available at the entrance.

Activities for the whole family in safety!
Morzine has a huge variety of outdoor activities, with more free activities than ever planned for this summer. Nature and distancing are the perfect partners!

> This summer the Tourist Office has reinforced its weekly programme of activities with extra outdoor activities from local providors (bureau des guides, sports instructors…). A free activity is on offer each day.
> No more than 10 people per activity to respect social distancing measures
> Masks and hand sanitiser will be distributed. The Tourist Office and town hall are working in partnership to ensure safety for everyone.
>Any activities needing material to be used will have extra disinfection measures. Hand washing, masks, and respecting distancing will be ensured during activities.

The following events are currently still programmed :
- Adopte 1 Col / Sunday 26th July
- Trail des Hauts Forts / Saturday 8th August
- Spartan Race / 21-22-23 August
- Rally du Mont Blanc / 4-5 September
We are not yet 100% sure that these events will take place as the situation is evolving every day.
If the sanitary situation worsens, the authorities can decide to cancel the events planned in August and September.
For the moment we are continuing, in close collaboration with the organisers and the local government, to advance with the organisation of these events, and planning all necessary changes linked to the current sanitary measures.
Participants must of course be prepared for an event that will be different than in previous years, where everyone must respect the new rules and the safety of each participant and spectator at these events.
